“Great location (northern Thamel) for getting last minute things for our trek, with lots of gear shops, pharmacies, $ exchanges and some nice cafes nearby (eg Avocado). The area is hectic, as in most of central Kathmandu, but the hotel is a quiet oasis, and a short walk to the Garden of Dreams. The staff were friendly, respectful and helpful. There is dining inside or outside. There is a rooftop area with peaceful views I enjoyed most days before breakfast. The meals were fine with good variety. Nice room (507) with interesting views of rooftops. Easy lift or stairs access. Bed comfy, shower reliable and hot, sit-toilet with bidet spray, basin. We had fresh soft towels daily. We left our luggage there for 3 weeks while trekking, no problem. Very happy to return there if I do another trek.”
